Return to Play

Now that the governor has lifted the restrictions on youth sports and summer camps as of last Frida, May 22nd, we wanted to provide an update on the Return to Play for Largo United SC.

This action, taken by the governor, does not change much of anything for cities, counties, soccer clubs or any other soccer organization in the area. All cities and counties have continued with their respective restrictions, to play, as of May, 25th.

In our case, the city of Largo, has made no announcement allowing any sport or organization, that has a use agreement with the city, to access the properties that host teams or clubs. Simply ....no organization can get on the fields in the city or county.

We trust that we will hear some directives in the coming days. Our club submitted a very comprehensive Return to Play Plan to the city parks department on May, 21st. To date we have not heard back from the city on that plan.

The club will begin preparing a process of introducing the Return to Play Plan sometime this week to all parents and players. An announcement will be coming in the next few day to that effect.

A tryout schedule will be announced once we receive a directive from the city of Largo.
